CLAY – What is it and what do we do?
CLAY is NEC’s after church youth group and is a great opportunity for people in their mid to late teens and early twenties to meet together, get to know each other a bit better, make friends, have some fun but also to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, informal setting.
As we mentioned it’s really informal and we always have something to eat together. It’s a great time to chat, have a laugh and catch up on the week’s events but also to ask the team any questions you might have about church, faith or anything you might be struggling with (there’s no pressure though, so don’t worry!). At least once a term, we have a games night which is another chance to relax, have a bit of fun and get to know each other.
Most importantly, we make sure we spend some time looking at a passage or book in the Bible and take time to pray for each other or anything that might be on our hearts and minds.
Who is it for?
Everyone in the appropriate age group (about year 10 of school up to early twenties) is very welcome. Some who come are regulars at either NEC or Fernwood Community Church and others just meet up with us after church has finished. Like we said, everyone is welcome to come along and join us.
When & where do we meet?
We all meet up at a leaders house at about 4pm, then after the meeting walk down together to catch the evening service. Please contact the church for the where and when, our email is email@example.com
It’s important to keep an eye on the church calendar for the CLAY schedule. For more information about the schedule or anything else, please just give the church a ring or drop us an email.
